It's an amazing cover. One thing though; I don't think there should be multiple marines in the shot. I think it would've been more impactful if it was just Doom guy in the middle considering that's one of the main elements of the game. One jacked dude against the hordes of hell - frightening, hopeless and thoroughly badass.

Yeah. I always though Doomguy's weapon on the cover was in fact the cut assault rifle seen in the alphas or the press release beta. It's a chaingun, a really scaled down one. Most likely its a weapon that was originally intended to appear in Doom, like back when the rifle was in v0.4.
